After 10 years of being listed in the top percentile of cities and states with the highest auto theft crimes, Arizona has now plunged several places down, and it’s definitely not a bad thing. California and its several cities occupy most of the spots in the National Insurance Crime Bureau report. Follow Arizona’s lead If anything can be certain, it is that auto theft is a crime that will continue to be prevalent, especially when the economy is at its worst. If you’re one of the lucky ones that resides in a state that has a lower crime rate than most, it doesn’t guarantee that you are 100% safe from any auto theft attempts. When the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) released their annual Hot Wheels Report in 2010, they have concluded that the most popular choice for car thefts were cars manufactured by Honda. Certain cars are targeted because of lax security measures, while some are eyed because of their part’s market value.
